Current Research Initiative

The Hyperbaric Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting research in hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and its applications in neurological disease and injury.

This study has been reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans.

  • Title: Outcomes of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in the Treatment of Subacute to Chronic Severe Pediatric Drowning

  • Scope: Retrospective review of over 150 pediatric cases

Participation in the study is voluntary, and there is no cost to participants.

Families of drowned children treated in New Orleans for hyperbaric oxygen therapy may be contacted regarding participation in this study.
